By using tachbook you accept these terms. Read them carefully: they include important warnings about using the app in an aviation context.
The service
tachbook is a digital tool to log flight hours and manage aircraft (bookings, hours, accounts, maintenance and weight & balance). The service is offered in beta and may change, be interrupted or contain errors.
tachbook is a record-keeping and support tool, not an official source. It does not replace your official logbook, the aircraft's legal records, the flight manual (POH/AFM) or any documentation required by the aviation authority (DGAC or any other).
Calculations —including hours, cycles, due dates and weight & balance— are an aid and may contain errors. It is the pilot in command's responsibility to verify every critical figure against the aircraft's official sources before each flight. The final determination of airworthiness, weight & balance limits and regulatory compliance always rests with the pilot and operator, not with tachbook.
The pilot's declaration is sovereign: the app may warn, but it does not decide for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record.
Acceptable use
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
- You must not use the service for unlawful purposes or attempt to breach its security.
- Access is personal; do not share your session with unauthorized third parties.
Data and backup
Your data is yours. You can export or back it up at any time (see the Privacy Policy). Even so, we recommend you keep your own backups of critical information.
No warranties
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including those of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, tachbook and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service, including —without limitation— operational flight decisions, calculation errors, data loss or lost profits. Use of tachbook is at your own risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile.
